Welcome Message from the Chaplain

You are warmly welcome to our website in the precious name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  Amen.  It is with great humility that I accepted the appointment of my bishop to be the first and pioneer chaplain of The Holy Spirit African Catholic  Chaplaincy Finland to continue with the great work of God for the catholic immigrants from Africa in particular and  for all the faithful of God in the Catholic Diocese of Helsinki.

I am totally committed to the vision of the fore-bearers of the catholic diocese of Helsinki, in the person of Mgr Teemu Sippo SCJ  and the diocesan pastoral council, and I am readily available to minister to all Catholics in general and to the African Catholics in particular.

I am totally bound to the service of the almighty God; our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; through serving his people in the world he loves and gave himself as a ransom. I  therefore will proclaim the gospel of Christ faithfully, practice gospel of Christ always and every where,  through teaching and discipleship, social services (supporting the aged, the weak, the sick, the refugees, the displaced people, and the prisoners) and social actions (taking proactive steps and measures to stop culture and values that keep people and our environment in bondage) No discrimination,  racism, tribalism, etc.  Read More

I will keep the gospel of Christ as the original, pure and undiluted Gospel; so that in a changing and fast decaying world, the faith and trust in God once delivered to the Saints is not corrupted by the human philosophies and post-modern views and values of our secularized society, we will therefore see the growth of the Catholic Church in Finland where the African Catholic Chaplaincy adds impetus to the possibility of all Catholics, despite our diversified African cultural backgrounds, to worship in a united Church in love and in truth.

Our target will continue to be based on passing the baton of the Gospel to the younger generation who in turn will be committed to the proclamation of the  faith to their own generation  and generations to come. We will remain a universal church, serving God in dignity and above all in unity despite our diversified cultures, attitudes, behaviors, belief etc. You are warmly invited to partner and work with us to build our great vision for a more unified church in its diversified nature. There are lots to be done in the area of: Evangelism and Church growth, Christian educational mission and outreach capacity building development of people, uniting African Catholics, Bringing back the lost or discouraged sheep, building Catholicism in Finland, promoting Love amongst the people of God and celebrating the sacramental life of the church as one.

You are invited to: go with us as we do one or more of the above ,groan along with us by praying for the Chaplaincy, Give in support of the Chaplaincy work and ministry, by your presence and also you commitment in one way or the other. Be it physically, spiritually, materially and otherwise.

I am looking forward to hearing from you or welcoming you in one of our Masses held on Sundays at 12.45 at the Saint Mary,s Catholic Church. United in Prayers May God almighty bless and reward us all for our efforts to spread the gospel  of Love and Truth.

May our Blessed mother Queen of the Apostles and all missionaries intercede for all our needs.

“Blessed lord, who caused all holy Scriptures to be written for our learning: help us so to hear them, to read, mark, learn and inwardly digest them that, through patience, and the comfort of your Holy word, we may embrace and forever hold fast the hope of everlasting life, which you have given us in our Saviour Jesus Christ, who is Lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God,Forever and forever. Amen. ”
